Anders Rosell – International Poodle Breeder, Groomer & Educator
Anders Rosell is a world-renowned breeder of Standard and Miniature (Medium) Poodles under the distinguished Avatar prefix, which he originally established in his native Sweden. Since 2012, he has been based in Málaga, Spain, continuing his lifelong dedication to the breed.
Anders’ involvement with Poodles began in the mid-1970s, and over the decades he has become one of the breed’s most influential figures. For more than 30 years, he was a driving force behind The Scandinavian Poodle Magazine—a publication often referred to by enthusiasts worldwide as “the bible” for Poodle lovers.
The Avatar Poodles have had a profound impact on the breed, with their influence seen in top-winning dogs across the globe. Over a career spanning more than 25 years, Anders has bred dogs that have produced exceptional results at the most prestigious shows, including:
- Best in Show at the Poodle Club of America National Show, along with Best in Show Puppy, Winners Dog, Winners Bitch, Best Stud Dog, Best Brood Bitch, and numerous Awards of Merit.
- Best of Breed winners at iconic events such as Westminster, Crufts, World Dog Shows, and the Royal Shows in Australia.
- Multiple Top Non-Sporting Dog (All Breeds) titles in the USA, and top Poodle rankings in numerous countries worldwide.
